Advanced Disk Catalog (ADC) is an award-winning easy-to-use tool for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows 2000 with Explorer-like interface which allows you to catalog the drives: floppy disks, hard drives (including network ones), optical disks, CD-ROMs, ZIP and JAZ disks and other media. It is 32-bit (of course), written totally in C++, does not use any database engines and so very fast. The database generated by ADC is very compact.

ADC is shareware - so, if you decide to keep it, you have to register and pay the registration fee (as low as $20). Registered users will receive all future versions and upgrades free, as well as virtually unlimited technical support.
With ADC you are able to:
- Organize volumes, folders and files into categories
- Add comment to each file, folder and disk
- Browse inside ZIP, ARJ, RAR, CAB, ARC, ACE, LZH and TAR archives, including self-extracting ones
- Import descriptions from files like descript.ion, files.bbs etc.
- Extract description files (file_id.diz) from archives
- Extract description from executable modules (EXE, DLL etc.)
- Extract descriptions from MP3 and WMA files (ID3 tags etc)
- Extract information about audio CDs from freedb.org (Internet CD database)
- Extract descriptions from Adobe Acrobat PDF files
- Extract descriptions from Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Search for files/folders/disks using file name or your own comments (with wildcards), limiting the search results by date, size and category
- Search for files in archives
- Update volume information (with saving comments and categories)
- Compare catalogued disk with actual (new files, changed files, modified files)
- Generate the reports
- Search for duplicated files
- Delete folders/files from the catalog
- Hide files in the catalog
- ... and much more.

This program is "international" and supports 35 languages now (to be selected after installation; now available: english, russian, french, german, czech, romanian, polish, hungarian, dutch, danish, norwegian, portuguese, brazilian portuguese, spanish, swedish, greek, korean, croatian, japanese, finnish, slovenian, catalan, italian, slovak, chinese (traditional), chinese (simplified), turkish, bulgarian, estonian, hebrew, lithuanian, ukrainian, vietnamese, afrikaans, icelandic). If you can help us to implement the support to another one(s), please drop us a line -- you'll get a free registration! Just don't send us your language file prior to contacting us, as far as such version might be already under development. That's mandatory!

ADC Plugin for FAR is an add-on to FAR (File and Archive Manager by Eugene Roshal, see FAR homepage for more info) version 1.52 or higher. Plugin implements virtual file system based on ADC database files.
Plugin has following features:
- lighting fast (up to ten times faster than ADC itself!) database processing
- option to treat archives as ordinary folders
- ability to view your databases from remote computer without ADC installed on this computer (from example via network)
- support for ADC categories and descriptions
- all the virtual file system functionality provided by FAR (file find, save path shortcut, etc)
If you need a cataloguer just for your MP3 collection, please have a look at
Advanced MP3 Catalog (AMC)
made by our good partners. It has a user interface very similar to ADC, support
for VBR files, very nice search engine (specially optimized for MP3s: to search
by filename, title, artist, album etc) and very reasonable price ($19.95).

The check utility might help you to identify the reason why ADC fails to scan one of your disks (say, ZIP disk). Just run it (from the command prompt); it displays some information about all of your local and network disks. So, if you have troubles with when reading the disk, redirect the output to the file and send it to our technical support group - this will help us to help you.
Important! Unregistered version can be used during 30 days after installation (although it doesn't expire, actually) and has some limitations. You can order the fully licensed version of ADC over the Internet from RegNow with any major credit card. The ordering page is on a secure server, ensuring that your confidential information remains confidential. As soon as we'll be notified that your order has been processed (usually in one business day), we will provide you with the serial number which will register your copy of ADC. If you would not like to use you credit card in the Internet, you can order ADC by fax of phone; cheques, money orders and purchase orders are also accepted. The order form is included into the latest downloadable version of ADC; you can also get it here. Please don't send the cash to our mailing address! If you want to make a payment by wire (to our bank account, please contact our order department (orders@regnow.com) and mention ADC product ID (1170-1). Just note that the invoice will include extra $10 (bank fees).

Note: If you've made a payment (through any of the services listed above) or especially by sending a check or making the wire transfer), but haven't got a confirmation letter with your registration code for ADC (or full version of ADC plugin for FAR) within a reasonable amount of time (two business days for credit card payments or two weeks for other payments), please notify us about that! It may mean, by the way, that the e-mail address in your order form is invalid. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused by those delays.
