  • Quick review: Agenda-setting theory. This theory says that the mass media (as well as other centralized sources for information) have the ability to determine what topics and viewpoints are dominant and perceived as interesting.
  • Quick review: 7+/-2. George Miller and others have performed many research studies that determined that people have difficulty in having more than about 9 items in their thoughts at one time. How many items can we expect a population to care about at one time?
